Myrrh is a gum-resin extracted from a number of small, thorny tree species of the genus Commiphora. Myrrh resin has been used throughout history as a perfume, incense and medicine. Myrrh is often included in salves and ointments due to it's antiseptic nature.
Myrrh’s energy is warm and dry, valuable for cold and congestion.
A sacred and grounding essential oil Myrrh is said to be helpful for mature skin, eczema, athlete's foot. Known to be anti-fungal and antibacterial.
Blends well with Geranium and Rosewood for skin care.
