Rose-Infused Wellness Recipes: Aromatherapy Meets Self-Care

Rose essential oil is one of nature's most luxurious ingredients, known for its skin-nourishing properties, calming aroma, and ability to elevate any self-care ritual. Inspired by our February subscription box, A Valentine for You, here are our favorite rose-infused recipes to bring spa-quality wellness into your home. You may use pure rose oil or your favorite Rose oil blend.

1. Rose Calm Roll-On

A portable aromatherapy blend for stress relief and emotional balance.

Ingredients:

  • 10 ml roller bottle
  • Fractionated coconut oil or jojoba oil (to fill)
  • 4 drops rose essential oil
  • 3 drops lavender essential oil
  • 2 drops frankincense essential oil

Directions: Add essential oils to roller bottle, then fill to the shoulder with carrier oil. Cap and roll gently to blend. Apply to pulse points, wrists, temples, or behind ears as needed throughout the day.

2. Rose Scented Drawer Liners

Infuse your linens and clothing with a delicate rose fragrance.

Ingredients:

  • Unscented drawer liner paper or parchment paper
  • 10-15 drops Rose essential oil (Start with less drops especially if you're only doing one drawer.
  • 5 drops Lavender essential oil (optional)
  • Dried rose petals (optional)

Directions: Cut liner paper to fit your drawers. In a large zip-top bag, add essential oils to a cotton ball or small cloth. Place liner paper in the bag (avoid direct contact with oils). Seal and let sit for 24-48 hours. Remove and line drawers. Add dried rose petals for extra elegance. Refresh with additional drops every few weeks.

Cotton Ball Method: Use 2-4 drops per cotton ball.

  • Car Freshener: Place a scented cotton ball in a container in a cup holder or use a clothespin to clip it to a vent.
  • Closets & Drawers: Add a few drops on Rose or any essential oil to a cotton ball and place in drawer. Avoid clothing. Try placing in a cup first.
  • Beside Table or Bathroom: Place a cotton ball in a small glass dish in a bathroom or, for a direct inhale, use it to disperse the scent.

3. Romantic Rose Bath Soak

Transform your bath into a luxurious spa experience.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Epsom salt
  • ½ cup pink Himalayan salt
  • ¼ cup dried rose petals
  • 5 drops rose essential oil
  • 3 drops lavender essential oil
  • 1 tablespoon carrier oil (sweet almond or fractionated coconut)

Directions: Mix essential oils with carrier oil first, then blend with salts and rose petals. Add ½ cup to warm running bath water. Soak for 20 minutes.

4. Calming Rose Body Oil

Perfect for after-shower moisture or massage.

Ingredients:

  • 4 oz fractionated coconut oil, sweet almond oil or grapeseed oil
  • 8 drops rose essential oil
  • 4 drops sandalwood essential oil
  • 3 drops ylang ylang essential oil

Directions: Combine in a glass bottle. Shake well before each use. Massage into damp skin after bathing to lock in moisture.

5. Rose Aromatherapy Room Spray

Refresh any space with this uplifting mist.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz distilled water
  • 1 oz witch hazel or vodka
  • 10 drops rose essential oil
  • 5 drops bergamot essential oil

Directions: Combine in a spray bottle. Shake before each use. Mist linens, pillows, or around your space as desired.

6. Rose & Vanilla Sugar Scrub

A gentle exfoliating treat for smooth, soft skin.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup organic cane sugar
  • ½ cup coconut oil (melted)
  • 6 drops rose essential oil
  • 3 drops vanilla essential oil or extract
  • 1 tablespoon dried rose petals (optional)

Directions: Mix sugar and melted coconut oil. Stir in essential oils and rose petals. Store in a jar. Use in the shower to gently exfoliate body, then rinse.

7. Rose Diffuser Blend

Create a romantic, calming atmosphere.

Ingredients:

  • 3 drops rose essential oil
  • 2 drops geranium essential oil
  • 2 drops cedarwood essential oil

Directions: Add to your diffuser with water according to manufacturer's instructions. Diffuse for 30-60 minutes.
