Lemongrass essential oil has been proven to be effective against mosquitoes, house flies, stable flies, fleas, ticks, lice and other insects. Its strong citrus scent contains compounds like citronella, which naturally repel insects.

Known to be antiseptic, a disinfectant, diuretic, digestive stimulant, may be helpful for lymphatic drainage. Useful in skin care: as an stringent, good for oily hair and skin.

Lemongrass is often added to a massage or body oil for sports injuries and various aches and pains. In Ayurveda, Lemongrass oil is considered to have purifying and cleansing properties and is used to promote relaxation and mental clarity.Use only 1-2 drops for any recipe when applied to the body. To avoid skin sensitizing use with another oil in a blend.

Lemongrass blends well with Rosemary, Lavender, Geranium, Marjoram and Juniper. Caution: Avoid when pregnant! May irritate sensitive skin ,must be diluted!
