Vernal Equinox Marks the Beginning of Spring

The Vernal Equinox marks the beginning of Spring and with it, the rebirth of all growing things. It is the moment when the earth awakens from its long winter slumber and basks in the warming rays of the Sun.

The word equinox comes from the Latin words for “equal night”—aequus (equal) and nox (night). On the equinox, the length of day and night is nearly equal in all parts of the world.

It also is associated with the coming of Easter and Passover.  In celebration, Honeysuckle, Lilac, Lavender and Lily of the Valley are once again in bloom and grace the world with a riot of color and scent. These fragrant blossoms combine with beneficial botanicals, plant oils and butters in our handcrafted artisan Vernal Equinox bar soap that nurtures the skin with naturally retained glycerin to renew and invigorate all over.
